Hi there! I guess it's a tutorial I missed writing

Go into your profile page where your PMs are... and on the left side column you'll see EDIT AVATAR.

That will give you a page of available avatars already loaded on the site. If you don't find something you like, scroll all the way down and see CUSTOM AVATAR.

You can upload your own there. Be sure it isn't too large (specs given) or it won't load. I have loaded a pic I like into the gallery here, and then linked to it there.

Be sure to SAVE CHANGES.

Ok... one from another site? Make sure it isn't copyrighted. I think it's best to right click on the picture and Save Image As... onto your own computer and then upload from there. Linking from another site isn't the best, especially if that site's server can't handle it, and also in case that pic is removed later on... you'll end up with a big red X for an avatar.

The note in the Upload Custom Avatar section says "The maximum size of your custom image is 85 by 85 pixels or 29.3 KB (whichever is smaller)." Chances are, you'll need to use Photoshop or something like that to get your image down to size before you upload it to PC.
Thanks for this!

attentionThis is an old thread. You probably should not post your reply to it, as the original poster is unlikely to see it.
