hello fellow forum users!

i've noticed that several postings are about the same error messages people have been seeing when trying to implement the open source software Personal Open Directory, and i wanted to offer a suggestion toward solving some of these issues.

on the <A target="_blank" HREF=http://forums.grohol.com/postlist.pl?Cat=&Board=software&page=&view=&sb=&o=>Software Support</A> page, there is a Search forum function that works quite well. if you want to know if anyone's got an answer to a permissions problem, search for permissions and all the posts with that word will appear. posts may or may not be relevent to your situation, but at least you'll have more information.

i have very limited knowledge of perl scripts, but i do know a little about unix, unix to dos and file permissions.

best of luck to every "buddy" and happy new year!
