Hey Roses4me,

Yes you can....

See at the bottom of the page when you write your post there are loads of icons you can chose to put in your post just put the trigger icon the red and black cross on it
Thanks for this!

I want to get this straight before I post and not do this trial and error

1) I found it in the sea of icons, if I post an answer and I click on it, will it show just on my post?

2) If I am starting a thread and I click on the trigger icon below, will the trigger icon appear in the post and on the forum list in the title?

Unsure about the post but defo if your starting a thread and it will appear in post and on forum list. The trigger icon will appear on your "introduction line to your post"

Sorry I am bad at explaining things :S
Thanks for this!

I think you can put a trigger icon on a post within a thread. I think I did that once and it did show up, but another thing you can do if you're concerned about triggering some one with a post is put a quick trigger warning inside the post, at the top...before you start your reply. It could look something like this:

******Trigger Warning - Please read with caution

Or....

*******Trigger for language...visual...etc.

Or....

(((((TRIGGER ALERT)))))

Something like this is fine if it's a post within a thread. This let's people know in case they're not in a good place they can know to skip your post and come back and read later.

Good question!!

1) If you reply to a thread, yes it will appear only on your post. (To illustrate, I'll click it on my own post and you'll see it on my reply and nobody elses)

2) If you start a thread, and click the icon it will appear on your post, and on the forum list with the title.

Good questions And you can always ask a moderator or admin to add one if you think it's necessary and the time has passed to add it yourself.

thanks all, got it now

Miss Laura: you are not bad at explaining things... it was you who directed me to the trigger icon to start with. It usually takes a few pointed (stupid questions to those who used the net) questions before I get it figured it out. So thanks for the first step.

a few weeks ago, I opened a post I shouldn't have...it triggered my general anxieties and I was more or less dysfunctional for two days. Now it is forum that I never open

I just posted with a trigger icon.... so I posted safely and others will be able to avoid what I went through but maybe I will move forward with my own demons

PC I thank you for that

attentionThis is an old thread. You probably should not post your reply to it, as the original poster is unlikely to see it.
