I love going to chat and know all the lingo and all that and don't mind typing it out but had a thought today....and don't know if this has been discussed here or not. If having emoticons is possible ..it is possible to have a drop down box with lingo like wb , back, lol, brb, bbs, bbl, ttyl, etc in there?? any of that that is typically written out that a person can just click that would pop up on the chat screen for others to see????

I didn't know where to ask this question besides here. Just an interest in knowing if this is possible

Hey Karrin,

This is a lovely idea!! I like it!! But I'm not quiet sure what you mean, like emoticons saying BRB and everything? For example Chat idea If so, I love the idea, the current emoticons are kinda getting boring and not many people use them any more, so I hope you mods/admins do think of this idea, HUGS always

While I know it isn't easy to write the html for a chatroom, because the whole thing has to be rewrote or added into , I thank you for responding and giving these added abbreviations to use and putting them here for others to see as well.. it is helpful...
Thanks for this!

Those are "common"?? What world are they from? I've been on the internet for many years now... and don't know and haven't seen more than 33 of them. Some that I know are from military use etc. Are these a blend with texting or something?
Seems I've seen some commonly used ones that aren't on there too.

Anyway, I was thinking this very thing, to add to the tutorials in the forum. Guess I need to research this some more

If we can't add this to the Chat Rooms, could we add it as a FAQ? I'd be happy to combine the ones shown here with the ones shown on the thread I started at: http://forums.psychcentral.com/showthread.php?t=228164 Just let me know and I'll get started on it.
