I thought people had to register in order to post here. I've noticed some posts that the person shows as a guest. How can that be?

They were a member when they posted. The kind of "guests" you're asking about are former members who have since asked to have their account deleted.
Thanks for this!

One a person leaves any old posts are titled as "guest" and they can't post again after that. If I ask for my account to be cancelled, all my posts will say guest where my name used to be and I wouldn't be able to post after that.

This doesn't look like a former member.. I thought it took longer to delete an account...

It can take a few days to remove an account, but that's it. So yes, it's a former member. All someone has to do is PM DocJohn with a request to delete their account and it will be done as soon as possible.

Ok. I was under the impression that it was not done immediately, in the event the person changes their mind. This must have been a different situation.

Thanks
