I go to the chat rooms and they seem empty. Is this so or is it because I have restricted priveleges?

Hi Fighting for life, welcome to Psych Central!
 You have more than enough posts to be out of moderation by now, so no, you don't have restricted privileges. I gather you posted your question in the early evening your time, but in North America (where many of our members live) it would've been the middle of the night. Most likely there were simply few or no members in chat at the time. I'm afraid there isn't a lot more I could tell you about the ways of chat. I'm one of the least frequent chatters here, myself.

You can see who all is in what room prior to going to the chat rooms... click on the Chat (#) up top. It shows how many total people are in all the rooms, and if you click on the drop down Who's In Chat... it will tell you just whom is where!
