I cannot post a log on open source because it says my permissions have not been set.
However, I'm on a NT server at Burlee.com and they say this: Do I need to change the file permissions on my CGI script? In our NT environment running IIS 4.0, IIS is tightly integrated with the NT windows server software. The permissions are set at the NTFS (NT File System) level and for the stability and security of your site, only Burlee administrators have access to change the permissions. While you may be accustomed to the CHMOD command in a UNIX environment, there is no NT equivalent to this command and you will not be able to set file permissions from the client side. By no means should this be considered as a hindrance, as this allows for tighter security for your site and overall greater network stability. IIS automatically grants your site script access, so you should be able to run any script written in Perl that uses the .pl extension. What can I do to make this work? Thanks, John Mahoney |
