Ok I know what they are basically. But what do I do with them? How do I fully read what they are asking/doing/wanting to do and how do I deal with them.

For instance, this latest one:

Quote:
A new trackback on the post ""I take so many herbs and spices I should be a stew!"" is waiting for your approval

Hmm. I read my nieces blogs, but have never felt that I had to respond or approve them! I figure if someone wants to blog, it is there for us to read if we wish. Feedback not required.

Am I wrong? Maybe someone else has some thoughts?

Here's a good diagram and description of what a trackback is when I typed in "What is a trackback" into Google:

http://www.marketingtechblog.com/tec...y/blog-jargon/

You can find the blog entry mentioning your blog entry by clicking on the "URL" link listed in the trackback.

You're welcome to approve or reject any trackback you receive. Many times nowadays, they are spammers who use the function to increase links back to their own spammy blogs.

attentionThis is an old thread. You probably should not post your reply to it, as the original poster is unlikely to see it.
