Is anybody else creeped out by the new purple hug icons? They remind me of that old McDonald's character, Grimace. Is there any way we can remove it from our visible profile?
Don't get me wrong - I'm all for hugs - it's just the icon that's bothering me.

Well, I hope I don't sound cold, but the only way I could figure out how was to remove the one hug I had given.
 I think I'll just stick to in-message hugs from now on.

I am not sure I like seeing the number of hugs people give or not. I see my own symbol and I have already given out a lot of hugs. I don't really count my hugs so I am not sure if having something that says I give a lot of hugs might offend someone in some way. Some people, I am learning don't like to receive hugs, I do like to get them, I guess its more personal than I thought. Not every person who offers support has to provide hugs either. But it is nice to have the hug option if one wants to give hugs and doesn't have a lot to say.

I don't know why but it bothers me, so I removed the hug I gave after looking for some magic option to make it disappear.

But we have always been able to give hugs. ((((hugs )))))
 In the UK we have store cards where you collect points and rewards and I have never had one as for me it turns life into some sort of game - how many points can you collect and the more you have the greater you are doing. I feel that about the hug icon too and for me when I see it I can get a guilt trip of not presenting as warm and supportive. I struggle alot with hugging in real life (T has never got within 6 feet of me) and this even translates to here - but I guess some people find it useful. Thanks for the tip of how to get rid of it though - hmmm wonder if I can face removing mine - maybe message those where I take it back and explain why I am removing it.

i'm with you all,, i tried to use the thing, but it's creepy. now someone has started a contest to see who can give the most hugs, that's not my idea of a good time. please let me know how to remove that little sticker~! and i'll give you a {{{ HUG }}}
