Okay, so you know the charts for the DailyMood tool? I think it would be interesting if we could see some example charts somewhere of a typical chart of a typical stable person, a depressed person, someone with bi-polar disorder, exc. because we get to only see our own charts and it's not always clear what they mean. I just think it would be interesting to see. What do you guys think?

if you really want to know what is "Typical" for you and your problems. its easy to find out .. just contact your treatment providers, ie your therapist, medical doctors and psychiatrists. they can tell you any statistics they have concerning your own issues, mental and physical health problems. by the way here where I live and work there is no such thing as a "typical stable person" a normal person can be someone who has ups and downs and times when they get manic, make rash decisions, have rocky relationships. appear to be mentally disordered when they are not.. example its christmas time look at how many folks there are in your neighborhood that are not acting like you think they should, how many people in your area are making rash decisions to go out and buy this that and the other thing that you dont think they *really* need, how many people during the christmas season are going to have that let down feeling the day after christmas because after all the rushing around and hyping up that has lead to chrsitmas is now over. how many people seem to have a mental disorder that you see as you go off to work or where ever.. besides...mental health statistics, charts, demographics are never "typical". they only represent those that have been surveyed. it doesnt take into consideration the general population. I think having charting of "typical" anything here on psych central will only do more harm then good to the members. everyone here has their own ways in which mental disorders affect them and thats the way it is in the real world too. |

Ahh, well I agree with you there. If someone were to track a bunch of charts and post them "scientifically" many would take it the wrong way and it would most likely be inaccurate anyway. I guess in rephrasing it, not the fact that it would necessarily be a good idea to do so, just that I thought it would be interesting to see, in the entire hypothetical sense of the word. I'm not trying to start a movement here :P
