If you have vista it has a built in voice to text feature. (doesn't work with all programs).

It appears that XP also has the speech recognition software (though you might have to install it if your computer didn't come with it installed).

xp definitely has it, but it only reads the headdings, not the whole thing and takes ages to read all the www, and htp thingies before it tells you anything you want to hear! also it really slows down your processer.
loads of people i know use dragon software, it is not free but is ok, i use read and write gold, it is specifically designed for dyslexics, it is expensive but worth every penny of it. it reads only the text you select, no www dots! it also understands my voice and turns it to text too. i have written this laid in my bed with my laptop on a chair beside the bed, i have not manually typed a single word! |
