For the first time, I have been receiving some Visitor Messages that are listed as "Awaiting Approval." I've looked through the FAQ section, trying to figure out how to approve them but have gotten nowhere.

How do I approve them, and why do I need to? They're all from people on my friend list.

Mucho merci,
Roadie

Hey I just found myself in that position earlier. Check the box by the message and then scroll down to find the "moderation" menu and click approve. That worked for me. Can't help with the reason for this situation.
Thanks for this!

Thanks, George H! That at least gets rid of all those "waiting" things. But why, suddenly, do I need to approve messages?

Have I hit a switch somewhere? Help! Still confused!

I don't do visitor messages but maybe if you check, 'My Profile' then go to 'Your control panel' and then, 'Edit options' I think there might be options to change that. I don't know, just trying to help.

If a member who's in moderation sends you a VM, it'll show up on your profile as "in moderation" until one of the moderators approves it. As George H. said, you can approve it first but I'm not sure if that'll let everyone view it, or just you.

Why would one member be "in moderation" and another wouldn't be? These aren't any of them new members.

That would be something you should pm that member about.
