I'll bite. When creating a database template, is it sufficient to add a few blank fields for future growth? Or, do you have to be exact in what you think you may need? After you begin building a database (adding records) you can't add any more fields...but you can rename and resize the ones already included, right?

I have a question too.

I use Mozilla Firefox and I use its search engine Google browser (not Google's own) to browse the Internet and until recently it always used Google.co.uk (giving me a choice of browsing UK-only (since I'm in the UK) or world-wide). But the other day I read something about google.com and decided to click onto the 'Go to google.com' from the Google.co.uk homepage, and since then it's always used the American .com to search the internet from my browser, not .co.uk. If I want to use google UK I have to specifically go to google.co.uk now. Any idea how to rectify this? I hope this makes sense lol.

Well SilverQueen, just go to your internet browser and click on "tools" then find settings you should be able to change it back to the way it was from here.

Dear Milly,
Just go to your control panel--switch to "classic view" then look for the icon "firewall and click on it, and then you can click on the tab that says exceptions and add your program there.

Hi Wizzard,
I usually clear out my history file of sites I've visited everyday. I am able to clear everything under By Date, By Site, By Order Visited Today, but for some reason "By Most Visited" will not clear, it has spellcheck.net on it 3 times and no matter what I do it won't delete. Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Sujin I just Wanted To Let Everyone Know...

Dear Sujin,
You can try and go to the run box that appears after you press your start button and type in "msconfig" than click on each tab and delete the history from each tab

Do you know how to disable IE?? It's not in my Add/Remove Software and it's causing me problems!!

Like a dummy, I believed that Smilie Central doesn't have spyware! I've run Ad-Aware and it's cleaned up everything except a .dll that keeps wanting to start MyWebSearch and I'm also getting pop-ups now!! I just Wanted To Let Everyone Know...

(((Sept))) you might not have to remove IE itself, but the add-on. Since you know which .dll is still there... try going into your TOOLBOX or TOOLS and click on Internet Options...PROGRAMS... MANAGE ADD-ONs and delete the one. I just Wanted To Let Everyone Know... actually, from TOOLS there's a MANAGE ADD ONs button to click upon.

At the bottom of the Program view... there's a place to click to make sure IE is the default browser... be sure to click on that if you wish to use Firefox or another.

Still thinking...

Dear September Morn,
Sorry about taking so long about getting back to you, I had a small problem with the regesry of my computer that I had to fix, but any way I'm glad you got your problem solved but for future reference if you ever want to disable your IE then simply go in to add and remove programs and on the left of the screen you will see add and remove windows components click on this then when the list opens simply "uncheck IE" and click ok then restart your computer and you should be fine.

its a good idea to note that while you can dissociate IE from windows, it never really goes away entirely as it is part of windows itself and the windows shell.

You CAN remove it like wizzard says tho, which will stop it from opening and will stop programs from acessing it. I just Wanted To Let Everyone Know...

What are you dancing to; "walk like and egyptian" or "do the king tut"?? LOL

That's cute! Keep going! hehehe I just Wanted To Let Everyone Know...

But wait! I still keep getting that little box when I first load Windows. It says "Cannot find C:\program~1\MyWebS~1\bar\1.bin\MWSBar.dll" Then it takes me to this page that has all the dlls I guess. Guess what? It's not there! LOL

I did a search for MyWebSearch and found more components to it and deleted them, restarted my computer just in case and AGAIN! I got that same little box saying it couldn't find that dll. I'm thinking there is still something in the registry that makes startup look for it... I just Wanted To Let Everyone Know... This VERY SAME THING happened on my old computer the LAST time I was stupid enough to download Smilie Central! The only way I got rid of it was to get rid of the computer!! I just Wanted To Let Everyone Know...

NOW WHAT????

Wizzard, you have anything to contribute??

I just Wanted To Let Everyone Know... I just Wanted To Let Everyone Know...

Well, for sure you have tracking cookies... spyware. The MySearchBar has the capabilities, and it happened to me, to hijack your web browser and take you places you don't want to go. I just Wanted To Let Everyone Know...

I run it once a day - and every single time it picks up about 15 critical errors?

Yup! Mine has gone down to about that many since Jerry doesn't use my computer anymore. Can't figure it out because this site and my gardening site are the ones I mostly go to... although... I've been checking out bead and wholesale T-shirt places the last few day. Why would any of those put tracking cookies on your puter?? I just Wanted To Let Everyone Know...

I'll tell ya! AOL's virus/spyware software ain't worth it! It NEVER picks up anything! I just Wanted To Let Everyone Know...
