I just logged onto Psychcentral thru Firefox. When I did this, I got a popup...never seen anything like this on Psychcentral before, that I had won a choice of some things. Since it's Psychcentral, I thought, well, maybe it's legit! It asked you to take a survey, and the first few questions were how often you visit Psychcentral. But then it was asking you to choose a product, and then it wanted your credit card #. I deleted the whole thing after that. Does anyone here at PC know about this?
Thanks for this!

that sounds like a popup that may be from ad software on your pc, I would advice running a virus scan on your pc.

I have McAfee virus protection on my computer, and I kept getting this notice that my computer was "at risk." Looking online, I learned that McAfee has had some problems lately with updates that cause this problem. (My virus protection software should be good well into 2013.) In the article online, some people have actually lost service altogether! In trying to solve my problem, I even went back to McAfee and bought the protection AGAIN! The company site caught this, so now my "protection" extends till 2014. I'm dismayed by this. Hopefully, now my computer is protected, but this popup occurred after I installed the new updates.
Thanks for this!
