In My Profile > Edit Options:

I checked the box to enable private messaging and clicked on the Submit button, but the change is not acknowledged. I've tried three times.

Help?

I am sure there is something wrong with the settings, I can't change my time zone. Hopefully Docjohn will read and fix it soon

I disabled the PM feature again, because I wanted to be left alone. Now, I want to reactivate it but I can't. The problem in the original post has returned. Help?

From now on, I will leave the settings alone.

After you checked off 'enable PM's', did you scroll all the way down and click 'Save'? You have to click save at the bottom for the change to go through. Hope this helps.

Yes, I have checked the Enable PM box and clicked on the Save Changes button immediately after. I have even tried with a different web browser. Last night, I tried four times and three today.

Maybe your web browser is still serving you a copy of the broken page (a cached copy). You can clear your web browser's cache (and your cookies too for psychcentral.com just to be sure), and maybe try again? Or try using a different web browser, like Google chrome, and see if you still have the same problem.

This bug was identified and fixed (and the fix has been verified by multiple people) back on the day it was reported.

No luck. I emptied the cache and tried Safari, Firefox and Google Chrome. I also tried to enable this feature on my iPod.

I use a Mac (10.6.8). Could this be the issue?

So, I guess I have to add an email address so I could be contacted. All use my real name so I am feeling reluctant about that.
