I recently installed Firefox on my computer and am trying to discover things I like about it to make it worth having. Can anyone point out features that you like?

I also have a question that is bugging me. Why does my website look like a mess of text without pictures on Firefox and it works fine on Internet Explorer? I'd appreciate any help or ideas. Internet Explorer 6.0 vs. Firefox

firefox has tabbed windows so you just have one browser window up with different windows nested in it instead of a bunch of windows open. im on a mac so i do command "t" but maybe with pc it would be control "t".

Susan,

I've not strayed from firefox, since I first learned about it here and downloaded it. The only issues I've had with it were some java related issues.

I love to use to because it's so much faster and I LOVE the favorites bar where I just go up and click between my fav. websites.

I can't stand IE since using it. I also found another cool find. AOL has an "AOL Explorer Browser". I can't say enough about it. It give picture views of the last ten pages visited on the "back button". It has a favorites bar that gives the views to the pages as well. It's just amazingly awesome I think.

Good luck with the website! I couldn't get a page, let alone create one. Nice!

KD

I loved mozilla! Except...for the java issues. I keep it loaded, but usually forget to use it, sigh. Earthlink isn't always compatible with IE... so maybe I need to make a reminder list for myself about which browser to use for what!

Thanks. Internet Explorer 6.0 vs. Firefox The tabs are nice. I also like the feature that allows you to search your own computer files.

Now I'm off to find the AOL Explorer Browser. It's great that we can all share the neat things we discover on the net.

Glad you like the website. Internet Explorer 6.0 vs. Firefox I'm having fun and learning lots!

Yeah, lists are great! I use them all the time. I'd never accomplish a thing without them. Internet Explorer 6.0 vs. Firefox

The tabs were the only thing I liked about Firefox. Unfortunately, using it completely changed fonts / sizes and so on making viewing impossible. And it was as slow if not slower than IE.

That was just my experience.

Well, I had to remove Firefox from my computer. IE didn't like having to share the computer. lol. Everything slowed down. I also had to remove the Google desktop and sidebar.....darn.....I really liked that! Trouble is this computer is still slower than it was even after removing these things. I have managed to keep both on. Sometimes I simply cannot get into PC from IE but can from Firefox.

But I'll bang heads with you - speed is something my computer, despite supposing to be "upgraded", doesn't seem to want to know much about.

I think Firefox is very awesome. I had a friend tell me to get it (over the span of months), and I kept refusing, blabbing about how much I loved my IE 6.0. Well, ever since I downloaded Firefox, I think I have been on IE about 3 times...honestly Internet Explorer 6.0 vs. Firefox
