Did you check the remember me box when you logged in? That may help keep you from being timed out when your posting I think I've heard others say in the past. I've always had that checked and the only posts I've lost were when I accidently hit the delete button or my server was being sporadic.
Thanks for this!

Is there anyway to get it back. It was important to me, hard to write. I guess I timed out, because I was writing for a long time. That's why I am upset I lost it .
It was there but every time I tried to post it said you logged in after you started it. Hit Back button to refresh page and it would come back. Round and round. Still would not let me post. I hit the back button two many times and totally lost the post.
I am so upset.

One way around the time-outs that I have figured out (the hard way), is just BEFORE you hit submit or post, when your writing is finished, highlight it and copy it. No need to paste it anywhere, just copy it. Then if it goes away when you hit the button, you can just paste it into a new one. It completely sucks (excuse the language) but it's one way I've found to get around it. I consider it cheap insurance. lol
Thanks for this!

Another way to get around timing out is to write your post in notepad or Word. Check to make sure you are still logged into PC and then copy and paste the post and click submit.

I'm so sorry you lost the post. It's so frustrating when that happens. If you are using Google Chrome or Firefox for your internet browser, if you find you have timed out anywhere (not just PC), you should be able to hit the back button and retrieve your post.

Thanks for this!

Time-outs are only avoidable by either copying what you wrote and paste it into a Word document, or to write everything in a text editor program, then copy and paste it into the forums. For your iPad3, there are a few programs you can choose from that would allow you to do this: Doc2, Pages, Office 2 HD, Documents to Go, Quickoffice Connect and probably some others. Once you're done writing, select the text, copy it, open PC and paste. Alternatively, you can save it to your iCloud (I believe Pages does this right away, not sure about the others) and then paste it.

I haven't used iCloud before but if it doesn't let you do this since it's purely text, take a screenshot or convert it to .pdf then try. For this, you'd take a screenshot also then paste them into the forums. It's a longer process that hopefully you won't have to do.

Even if you're on a iPad3, you can still be logged out due to a time-out.

attentionThis is an old thread. You probably should not post your reply to it, as the original poster is unlikely to see it.
