How do YOU open up a private chat room and how do you invite other people into the room?

Ok I have another Chat Room Question....

How do you send a one to one PM to another person in the chat room that is just between you and that person, but it stays on the main screen with all the other messages and does not go into the private mode screen?

Click on their name on the list to the right. Click on private message. Send and then close the window...their reply will come up on the main screen in pink. You can also do it by doubleclicking their name in the listing.

For how the chatroom works and how to work all the goodies there, go into the chat room and click on the info tab at the top next to settings.

When YOU say in the listing are you talking about the names to the right or are you talking about the names on the main chat screen.... just want to make sure.

Thanks SKY..... and YES, I have read over the help part of chat already but it does not tell of the question I am seeking..... for while I can send a private PM in a totally separate box / screen - I cannot get it to let me stay with in the main screen and send a private PM..... the one that say: (example) - Sky tells you: (then the message)

I have yet to try the suggestion you gave on opening the private PM box typing my message then closing it - - - fingers crossed and hopping it solves the problem.
