so i've signed up on this new forum (i signed up thursday) and every time i log in, and go to post it says i am awaiting email conformation.
does that mean it's waiting for me to confirm my email address, or does it mean it's waiting to send me an email to tell me i'm signed up? either way, i've got nothing from the board either way in my 5 days of membership.. so naturally a little confused?. i can edit my profile and stuff, and their is no link to resend a validation email also another question... if i see a new member on the site, if i click on his profile- will i get to see his status? for example, this guy who is currently the newest member has 0 posts too. can i find out if he too is not activated, or if he's just not posting? his profile says newbie, mine says awaiting email conformation, i wonder if it has something to do with the fact that the reason mine talks about the conformation is that because i'm logged in to it? not sure.. maybe their's a back log of members waiting to be activated |

Most forums have a "Contact Us" link where you should ask these questions of that forum's administrator. Obviously we can't answer much about how another forum runs, unless it's one of ours.
"Awaiting email confirmation," in general, means that they've sent you an email where you need to click a link in the email in order to confirm your email address. This is done in an effort to reduce spam registrations. If you did not receive such an email, it's likely it went into your spam folder by mistake. Check there and you'll usually find it. Otherwise contact the forum owner through the "Contact Us" link.
