there is "welcome______ " and below that is "Your Notifications: __ "

the number won't go back to zero after I've read everything... when I click on it it takes me to some place I've never seen before-- with the member's names but when I click on one it just take me to the "messages" page and never goes back to -- 0

How can I get - "notifications" amount to be accurate? I've read every message I've gotten......

Do you have any friend requests that are pending? It sounds like you might have those since it takes you to a list of names. Just a thought, might not be what it is.

If you scroll down to the bottom of the friend request page, there will be an option to accept or not. Once you choose, your count should return to zero.

You are so kind to reply-- thank you (was nervous to come here, as I feared I'd not have any replies and that might mean I'm invisible)

I so appreciate your replies, however they're not friend requests... it's just "notifications"-- if I left click, it takes me to the profile message place where I haven't gotten any new messages for a long time and I've read all of them. If i right click on the notification word it goes to some strange page that shows the members names of the 3 notifications but thats it-- they are NOT accessable
I've tried clicking on one of the three and then it just takes me back to the profile message board again but the notification number never goes to - 0

is there a way to re-boot psychcentral for my individual account?

Sorry, fins, I'm not sure what you mean. I'm attaching a screen shot of what my notifications looked like right after I sent myself a PM.

My notification stats look fine to me: the big window says there's a total of one notification and the little popup window says the notification is for one PM. When I click on "Unread Private Messages" I get taken to my Inbox where, sure enough, there's the PM I just sent to myself. After I read it, the "Your notifications" line disappears from under the "Welcome, FooZe".

What do your notifications say exactly, in the big window and in the popup? You're welcome to PM me if there are any details you'd rather not discuss publicly.

You see Fooze, where the number up on your "notification" says 1. and then how you copied the list and it says one- whatever message.

Well, mine shows 3... and then it shows on the Unread Profile Visitor Message-- 3 also. BUT-- I don't have any unread I've read them all. why won't it go back to 0 now? Every time I log in it shows 3... it doesn't go back to 0.
I think it's stuck-- do you know how I can get it unstuck?

The one thing I'd want to try before giving up on it, would be to flip through all 43 pages of your VMs just to let the system know you've been there. If it thought, for whatever reason, that you hadn't read all your VMs, I'd expect that to reset it.

If you do try this, I'd like to know what happens.
