Was there an update or something with chat? It keeps freezing or won't let me type and send my message. It's not letting other people whisper anymore either.

Try resetting your computer, clearing your cookies, that kind of thing, then restarting chat.
See what happens.

I have the same issue, all of a sudden the type changes and when I try to send it to the chat it disappears. I can't use the whisper either

for 4 days I cannot whisper and type disappears and it is happening to others and all of a sudden I have some spell check and auto correct going on when I type...

Hi folks, nothing significant has changed with the chat server, I'm sorry to say. It's the exact same one we've been using for years here. I shut it down and restarted it this morning in the hopes that might help with some of your issues.
brittfly... the chat server doesn't have any spell checking -- that's your web browser. If you're web browser has updated or you've changed web browsers recently, that's what's causing that. What exactly happens when you try and whisper to another member?

I type a whisper and the font changes and doesn't send and after that I cannot send any kind of message .. have to sign off and come back and not whisper for this to not happen... and yes I have spell check now... tator tot says it might have been update to internet explorer .. around the same time this started happening........

Yup, unfortunately we can't control web browsers and when they send out updates that break existing applications, like our chat room (the same software is used by thousands of sites around the world).
What you can do is to change web browsers to use that one that doesn't break your existing web browsing needs. Firefox and Google Chrome come to mind. IE may also have some sort of compatibility mode that may make it work with the chat software, but I don't know much about that. Best, DocJohn
