You did click through - in order to

1) form an opinion about the visual, as expressed on the original thread and the current thread,
2) side with the policy on censoring web content employed by the administration of the college attended by one of the original thread's participants,
3) post on both threads

- you must have clicked through.

So if you were put on notice, and you had your own policy on what kind of questions you would answer, and you felt that the question was an invasion of your privacy, why did you click through?

Clearly, the site administration does various things in an effort to put us on notice - the forum is described as being "frank" and you are advised not to read it if the content disturbs you; there is an option to block the forum from view - say, mentions of SI generally disturb me so once I found out about the forum blocking capability on the site, I immediately blocked the SI forum, so I no longer see the latest SI post when I scroll down the list of forums. So the site administration tries to be helpful.

That said, there is a limit to what it can do while trying to be helpful: if you click through against your own policy and despite being put on notice, I do not know what the administration can really do to protect you, because your clicking actions are completely outside of the administration's control.
Honestly at this point I don't care to get my point across. I'm old enough to handle content but still feel the animation was pointless and bordering on inappropriate.

There's bigger fish to fry and I feel the forum needs to be watched carefully because of some strange posts. It shouldn't be a forum for someone to boast about, how hot they get unless its related to a problem. If a poster doesn't take any sensible advice but keeps bragging about their arousal, its most likely a pervert. There endless sex education on the Internet and I didn't feel animated sex was pertinent.

Then the rules need to be changed. All of the things you are objecting to fall within discussing sexuality in general.

As we say in the description, this is for the frank and open discussion of these issues. If that may be triggering or disturbing to you, please, do not read this forum.

Enjoy!

So if bragging is not kosher, there should be an exception for bragging in the rules / welcome letter. I did see bragging on the forum and, interestingly enough, the person who posted the braggiest- excuse the coinage - post ever was exactly the person who first objected to the thread with the computer animation (granted, by offering a different route to the thread and not silencing the OP altogether...) and to which you agreed.

So much so for logic and consistency.

Also, I am afraid that if boasting about how hot someone gets (in the context of the site in general, such "boasting" would not necessarily be just about "hot" but also about "hot despite mental illness, depression, and the side effects of psychiatric medications") were to be banned, the "boasting" posts about having taken a shower (the thread with the highest view count among bipolar success stories) would need to be banned, too... And people who "boast" having been sober for N (days/months/years) would need to be silenced as well... That would be a shame.

Don't take this personal because I'm not upset with you...but let me ask a hypothetical question? What do you think should be done if a sexual pervert started posting descriptive content? Should we let that person continue, when there's thousands of assault survivors on this site. Have you ever considered you might be talking to one and they're really not who they claim to be? That forum should be for frank sexual threads and gender identity issues. It doesn't say it will tolerate content that happens on Xrated chat sites and is unrelated to a problem.

Are you saying I was doing bragging in your above quote? Keep in mind I'm not talking about you. I can't say specifically which ones. There has to be some kind of limit, otherwise that forum could be just another Xrated chat site. How "frank is frank".....will perverts who post solely for pleasure be allowed in this free for all?

Folks, I already gave my opinion on this issue, so I'm going to close this thread. If you have specific issues with another member, please take them to private message.

We're not changing the rules for the sexual issues forum at this time. Thank you.

attentionThis is an old thread. You probably should not post your reply to it, as the original poster is unlikely to see it.
