i know im a new member, but ive written several (probably about 4) forum posts, beginning with an introduction, and they are no where to be found! does it just take some time with new folks?

Yes, as the private message sent to you explains, all new members' posts are moderated -- meaning they have to be seen by one of our moderators and manually approved before they show up. Unfortunately, some don't always read that entire private message, which is unfortunate.
I now see they should be there now. Click on your name and choose "Find more posts by imonfire" to see them.
