I am sure this has been addressed, but when playing games I often (and others) have to put "................" for the post to be taken if our answers are short. Why is this? Sometimes it's just frustrating and it seems like with everything that can be programmed this could perhaps be changed? Thank you.

The computer probably reads its as spam. Kind of like how your questions has to be a certain amount of words on yahoo answers, or your password has to be a certain length in other programs? I don't know for sure - just saying.

The games are just extra for us; it's a mental health support site so what is typed has to be more than just a smiley face or one word "nothing" answer, etc. That's why we have the Thanks and Hugs buttons, to cut down on the number of responses that aren't really personally supportive and just cause the threads to move too fast so they're hard to find or keep up with. Think, if you had to look at and read every post in whatever game you are playing instead of just get to the "last" post. Trying to follow a genuine support thread would be frustrating if it were like that so at least 10 characters are required.

It's just a setting preference we've enabled in the software, since most of the time, we prefer posts with actual content of at least a dozen characters in them. Games is one of the forums where, if we could change that setting per forum, we would (but we can't, unfortunately).
