This is NOT a question about any specific member. I'm wondering if a member's name is removed from the member list if they leave.
Thanks for this!

Members who are no longer members here no longer show up on the member list.

Okay, but if their account is suspended, whatever that means (what does it mean?) do they still show up? Their posts seem to show up, so I guess everything else must, too. Except their posts are no longer searchable. Weird.

If an account has been suspended, it means their account has been suspended -- either temporarily (for a specific time period) or permanently (nothing has to be completely permanent, we're open to discussion with past members).

A member who's had their account suspended loses their membership (either temporarily or permanently, depending upon the type of suspension they received). So no, they don't show up on the member list, as they are no longer a member of our site.

All members' posts always show up because we don't delete a member's posts (there are exceptions, but they are extremely rare and must be handled on a case-by-case basis as requested by the member).

i often see a "Guest #####, or Anonymous##### post, and only recently understood that those are posts made by former members before they left PC.

it is possible, i actually spend some time doing it, (to see who left), tracking down the acronym. also, if a person suspended their own account, for a while, it will still be accessible to look at, but not to post on. if they have been terminated by staff, their whole profile page vanishes.

if i err, i hope to be corrected~

Just the opposite. Someone with Anonymous #### is someone who asked for their account to be removed, and therefore we have complied with their request. There's no way to tell which username is who -- that's the point of changing their username to Anonymous -- to help them protect their privacy in the future.

Members who've been suspended or banned retain their account name, but lose all their membership privileges.
