I'm new here, have been trying to participate by posting, still very apprehensive about how what I say will be taken...

it takes me a long time to reply or type a new post, it seems the site has a timer that logs you out after a period of time. By the time I finish typing and try to post I have been logged out and I have to "copy" my post, return to the log in page, find the thread I want to respond to, open the Post New Thread / Reply again and "paste" what I had previously written to be able to send it, I'm afraid what has taken me over an hour to type will be lost. If anyone can let me know how to avoid this, (other than Typing faster ) please let me know. Thanks.

I'm sorry you had the problem of being logged out too soon.

When you sign into Psych Central there is a tick box next to where you put your username that says "Remember Me". If you tick the box at sign in, you will not be logged out (unless there is an issue with your ISP).

Many times, when I am going to write a long post, I write the post in notepad on my computer then copy and paste it. I keep the thread up so that all I have to do is click on the tab where the thread is and viola.....done!

I hope you find this helpful.

attentionThis is an old thread. You probably should not post your reply to it, as the original poster is unlikely to see it.
