Hi - your software 'POD' is timing out when trying to access DMOZ on my site: http://naize.heebie.co.uk/directory/pod.cgi . And in fact it's not just on my site that this has suddenly begin to happen, on the demo site too:

Does anyone know what the problem is and when it will be fixed?

The Open Directory Project (which the POD calls) is timing out.

So it's DMOZ's fault? Are they going to fix it, do you know?

Looks like it works now? They must have just had a temporary glitch in the files/setup.

Here's about the DMOZ, how it "works:" http://dmoz.org/help/geninfo.html

Thanks! But now I also can't get the header and footer to work. When you specify the address in podvars.pm as to where header and footer.html are located, what's it relative to?

No clue. Are you subscribed to the support letter or have you done a source view of another site using it? I don't have it so I don't know, sorry.
