where can i discuss it on this forum. is there a suicide board?

I was told by the moderators here that you are allowed to post a thread titled "I want to commit suicide" but you are NOT allowed to say when you are going to and how.

discussing the emotions & feelings you are going through that are causing you to feel this way are really what you need to focus on & post about......dealing with the issues will help with feeling the need for suicide.

Remember, suicide isn't the problem......issues & emotions causing you to feel that way are

Here is what I posted some time ago about discussion of suicide:

We do have members here that are feeling suicidal at any given time. If they post that they are feeling that way and what emotions they are going through at the time and looking for support, that is one thing. For a member to post that I'm going to do it xxx and this is how I will do it.....that is against our guidelines.

Our guideline states -

A threat would be along the lines of "I'm done, tonight's the night" or "Goodbye cruel world, I won't be back PC".

If you are discussing that you are wondering why you should continue....that leaves the door open for conversation and support.

Because we are a supportive site, discussion of plans, dates, threats, how you wish to accomplish it, go against our mission of supporting people through their mental health issues such as this one.

For our membership to read what specifics we are thinking of or acting on is extremely triggering, especially when no one can do anything to help someone from going through with it on a website and IRL help is then needed.

As manwithnofriends stated, you can discuss suicidal ideation, why you are feeling like you wish to end your life, but nothing more than that is allowed.

From what I've noticed, here, within the guidelines, your best bet, to talk about these feelings, is trigger in Depression.
