Try this thread to complain? http://forums.psychcentral.com/commu...oms-again.html

oh doh me that thread is closed!

Well, then I'll add to it here if you allow me...

I double checked that pc is allowed in all the addy lines I can tell... and when I click on the no pop-up chat (as I always had to since making my SN with ( )) it gives me this listing on a white background:

can't connect to chat rooms

at the bottom of this page is what is normally at the top of the main page (log in info) and then there's the list of chat rooms and ENTER CHAT NOW
However, clicking on that takes me right back through the loop, not to chat.

UPDATE:

I clicked on the NO POP UP CHAT in that list above... and got a very slow blue screen @

which finally put me into the chat room lobby.

You cannot provide links directly to chat, as they won't work. You have to enter chat through one of the two methods provided -- the "Lobby" link, or the "No popup chat" link listed in the top grayish menu (where it says "Chat").

Unintuitively, if you click on the actual menu item that says "Chat (4)" (or whatever that number is), it probably won't work. You have to go to the dropdown and choose "Lobby" or "No pop-up chat" in order to enter.

We're shutting down the old chat system soon, so we're not fixing any issues that arise over it at this time.

Thanks,
DocJohn

I am trying to access chat and am getting the message "Authentication Failed". Does this mean that I cannot chat until the new system is up and running? I am so confused.

I am on Windows 8.1 IE cleared cookies etc. with no luck.
