I have installed pod on my windows 2000 server and everything has been working great until now. Al of a sudden I am getting the following error:

POD encountered the following error while trying to run:
500 Can't connect to dmoz.org:80 (Bad protocol 'tcp')
Attempted retrieval URL: http://dmoz.org/Recreation/Aviation

Thanks for this!

Ya got me on that one. I don't have a server running W2k handy to help troubleshoot, but it sounds like it might be a problem the software is having calling one of the perl modules (since POD doesn't use TCP, but the modules it does use does, if that's clear?).

Make sure you have the latest confirmed working versions of the perl modules the script requires installed on W2k and maybe even look around to see whether it's a known issue with that module.
