If you have blocked a user can that user still see your posts? Do they know they are blocked?

If you block a user, you cant see THEIR posts. It says "you cant see this persons post cuz you havd them on ignore". Presumably you block them because what they write upsets you. Therefore they find out that you have blocked them when they try to respond to your thread or your post on someone elses thread. It says, this person has you on ignore, you cant reply.

You can howevrr stillnhug or thank them.

Yeah, that's weird. Someone blocked me, so I blocked them (so that I wouldn't try to reply to them again). Then I noticed they thanked me or hugged somewhere along the line. Guess they didn't realize it was someone they blocked. And, if they still have me blocked, they'll never have to read this message either.

I knew I couldn't see their posts so not sure how you could thank or hug them? I could see that maybe they could. Yes, it takes a lot for me to block them. I have never even done it on Facebook. I have taken people off my feed but that's it. Thanks!

You can also PM them and also post on their profile too.

I would like to be able to filter out forms I never visit so they stop showing up in my Newest Post filter.

You can if you go to your profile page and select edit options. Scroll to bottom of the very long list & you will find a section just for that. Be sure to save changes when finished.

You can also choose a setting that blocks signatures in the posts if they bother you .
Thanks for this!

Good point, because you'd need to purposefully choose, to open their post, and hugs and thanks would, then become a conscious decision, not a fluke. Because, if on tapatalk, you don't see anything, whatsoever.
Which, can be awkward, if you reply on a blocked persons thread, because, you might not realize who started, the thread...

No wait, i got that part backwards! Let me just say it straight! Somebody blocked me, so i couldnt reply, but i could hug And say thanks. I guess that was intrusive of me, but i kinda wanted to say, no hard feelings. I guess im kind of oblivious to peer pressure - when your family rejects you, a mere peer rejecting you is like not that bad? Not saying its a good attribute of mine to be so dense! Anyway, sorry i messed that up!!
Thanks for this!

I block signatures because i go nutsy if theyre not formatted nicely for my phone (which you would have no way of knowing or changing!) Plus the repetition drives me cuckoo. So half the time i have no idea what people are talking about so ill change my option to see them for a while, then change them off again.
Thanks for this!

If you block someone you cannot see their posts and they cannot reply to threads you start. As a blocked person, I can read any and all posts but cannot reply to those people who have blocked me though one can hug and thank them.

If one is going to block someone else, it is not a punishment, they don't suffer not being able to respond to you, it is just sometimes annoying if they go to respond to a thread and find you have started it and they forgot you had blocked them. The blocked person can still see, read, whatever your posts, you just cannot read theirs and they cannot comment to you.

Wow. There is no one here I've ever wanted to block, but what a handy tool this would be in the real world. Hahaha.

In tapatalk you can see the post title in subscribed plus the first line but it isn't visible in the thread. You'll also get a notification. That has to be a big somewhere.

Probably like me - you say things that are strongly worded and not always mainstream. I know some people have strong reactions to words that are not softened and smoothed.

attentionThis is an old thread. You probably should not post your reply to it, as the original poster is unlikely to see it.
