I see that someone uses emoticons in visitor messages...how can I do it? Sorry if I ask something obvious, but I don't find the way

Click on the smily face in the toolbar. Go all the way down until it says show all smilies. Then you can just click on which one you want or memorized the typed code for it and you can type that in. Not sure if I explained it very well but hope you get the idea.

To say the truth I didn't understand very well Where is the toolbar? I see it whene I write in forums, like now, but not for visitor messages...I mean those on another member's page. I saw that somebody uses emoticons also there

Oh, okay. To do that you have to "go advanced" then it will give you the emoticons option.

There's a "Go Advanced" control when you write VMs just like the one for writing posts:

In "advanced mode" you get access to the same selection of smilies as with posts:

As gayleggg said, if you learn the code for some of your favorite smilies you can type it into your post without even using the toolbar. For instance, typing :cool: gives you
