When I went under "My Profile" to "Edit Avatar", it gives me a fairly large list of pre-defined avatars to choose from, but it does not give an option to upload a customized one. How do I upload a custom one?

At the bottom of that page to which you're referring, you'll see a "Browse" button; click that, browse to the image you wish to use, then once it's selected, click "Save Changes". If, for some reason, that doesn't work for you, you can upload your chosen image to a popular image-sharing website, and then paste its direct link into the "Option 1" area of the avatar page. (just above the browse button)

Please give us more avatars to pick from. I am especially fond of horses.

I have googled free avatars. After I check it, it says it may be copywrited.

I also like avatars that depict aloneness.

This is a good site for avatars and they not copyright either.

You can use any avatar you find online as your avatar. Save a copy to your computer, then follow the instructions above in this thread to choose a custom avatar (either on the forums or in chat!).

I have used two different browsers and there is no "Browse" option at the bottom of the Edit Avatar page. Where has it gone?
