I've followed the directions and sent two requests this week to have my account closed and deleted. I've not received any acknowledgment that I sent two requests, despite asking for one. Yet, another friend of mine who recently requested her account to be closed received an immediate acknowledgement, and she was asked if she was sure about deleting her account. I've received nothing.

I understand that the deletions occur only once per week. However, I don't understand why my request is not even acknowledged and my PMs ignored. I would just like to know that my request was received and approximately when the deletions occur. Otherwise, I need to keep logging on to check if my account was closed yet. I'm not even sure if my request was received or processed, or if for some reason my requests are not getting through. Please let me know what I should do, if anything, to have my request processed.

Thank you

I don't understand why you need to keep logging in?

It's something I've noticed a fair bit. People request a deletion and then continue to log in which seems a little counter productive.

Perhaps the continued logging in confusing the mods. After all if you don't want to be here why would you log in? And with many people prone to sudden changes of mind around here they would need to be careful. Wouldn't want to delete an account only to have the person realize a week later they didn't really want that.
Thanks for this!

All account deletion requests should be pm'ed to

Christina86

She is the admin that does all the deletions. Have you pm'ed her or another mod/admin?

Please know too that we are all volunteers and we don't have set days/hours that we are here. That may be a reason why you haven't received an acknowledgement yet.

In the meantime, I will be happy to send her the link to this thread in case something went foobar.

We are all volunteers here. She usually logs on at least once a week to do deletions.
Thanks for this!

Sorry for the delay! For the information of everyone, I do account deletions about once per week. This last week has been exceptionally stressful for me with "real life" stuff so I apologize if I'm ever slow to respond to PMs.
