I haven't explored this much yet, but I see that there are places for people with common interests to form groups that you join and post in places separate from the rest of the site. I'm curious about how such groups are formed. Are there rules about what qualifies as a group or the number of people?

I post in the psychotherapy section, which I'm most interested in. It is an area that often has a large number of readers if not posters. I'm interested in psychoanalytic therapies and would like to be able to meet and discuss this approach, which includes a variety of methods and schools. It is quite distinct from other types of therapy, sometimes conducted by an analyst who is qualitatively different from a therapist.

I see that there is a group for people in therapy already. I wonder if there is room for those who are interested in the various psychoanalytically informed approaches.

At the bottom of the screen is the option to create a new group.

I hope this helps,
