I just noticed that my chat bar is missing. I'm not really sure how long this has been going on since I tend to not be the most observant of persons, but now I want it and it's not there. Did I do something to disable it maybe on accident. Is there some way to turn it on and off that I'm supposed to know about?

Pardon me for asking, but what's a chat bar? I am not a chat person.

I haven't been in chat for YEARS!

It's a bar that pops up now & then at the bottom of the screen for me. It's annoying, as I have to keep closing it. It partially hides part of the screen.

I don't know how to turn it off. I have never seen it before until the last few months. (I've been on here since 2008)

And these are NOT MY COMPUTERS. They are public, so I may not be able to disable it.

Would someone please respond to my post below dated 9/17th?

Trav, I think the chat bar is the bar that pops up, that allows you to go into one of the chat rooms.

You can close the chat bar by clicking on the very last graphic (two down arrows) in the chat bar (the chat bar is the one that is at the bottom of the screen).

There is no way to permanently disable it or turn it off.
