I initially made up an age for this website... Going through a phase of making up random information for various internet things that ask you for information... But it is misleading for people who view my bio, and I never meant for that. I have tried to change my age by way of changing the made-up birth date that I gave it but it doesn't seem to save these changes.

Am I doing something wrong, or is birth date information one of those fields that you can't change?

P.S., I remember when there was the illusion of privacy on the internet... These days... All your 'secret security question' answers are all out there in the clouds. Adding an extra layer of... Identifying information. It is quite scary what people like the UN or whoever can do to you if they take a dislike to you if they have certain information about you... Part of the cost of living in society, I suppose... LIttle choice...

I think, if you go to Your Profile, click on Edit Your Details you will see where your birthdate is listed, click on the "Clear" Button then scroll down and click save. This will remove the date and age from your profile.

If you wish to add your correct birthdate or one closer to your real age, enter it and click save.

Hi.

When I try that it says:

'A required field called Location is missing or has an invalid value'.

I need to give it my post-code in exchange for it 'forgetting' my age?

?

I believe that's a small glitch in the system. You don't have to enter anything identifiable if you don't wish to. Make up a zip code if you like. Just put something in that field and you should be good to go.

Alas, when I do that it says:

> A required field called Primary Concern is missing or has an invalid value.

I see what happened now... At some point I got pissed off about the nosey questions so I started making stuff up... I feel badly that some people are getting a wrong impression of me by thinking that I'm in my 50's though (I'm in my 30's actually) so I wanted to hide my DOB field... But seems I can't correct the wrong without feeding... Either more identifying information... Or more lies. So... I guess I'll just leave things be.

I think... I do see the point in wanting to collect site statistics. Forcing people to answer fields is only going to encourage people to make up 'information' in order to get the form through, though. So... To mess up site statistics, in other words.

Anyway... I wish I could hide my DOB display but seems I need to fill in all fields for that to go through and... I'm not prepared to do that.

Thanks for trying to help, though. I appreciate that.
Thanks for this!

Sorry about that.

I don't believe we use any of that information for site statistics though.

Ah, well.

Thanks, again, for trying to help. It doesn't really matter - I can always explain to people...
