I've noticed this a couple of times on the site. Once I add a friend, read a PM, or anything that uses the in built notification system the notification doesn't go away until the page is refreshed. Just thought I'd let the admin/support team know.

I have noticed that also. Another option is to click on the notification again and it clears it.
