Thank you for this. I've got to try it, too, to make sure I've got it right.

So I get how to use BBCode, but my question is how do we know what types of things will be triggering to other people. I tend to vent a lot, so maybe I should just put all of my posts under the trigger code?

I was about to ask the same thing. I can see a lot of folks rolling their eyes and thinking we're clueless, but seriously... how are we supposed to know what is going to trigger someone? Especially me...I got Aspergers. I have no idea what's going to set somebody off.
Thanks for this!

You have to use the bracket [ instead of the ( parentheses

It's kind of weird the code window doesn't let you write code in it and ot actually acts from the code. That is the purpose of a code box that you should be able to write code in it and SHOW the code.... dang vBulletin what are you doing? LOL.

Looks like a good idea, but I don't understand how to type it.

I don't know what BB code is or when/how to type brackets or parentheses.

I see the "hide" or "show" button, and stuff will appear or disappear. But I still don't get it. Are you supposed to TYPE "possible trigger"? Where do you type??????

Not clear to me but I don't post in the type of topics that are triggering, I don't think.

Owl, hit the "quote" button for a post in which there is a trigger button. That way you can see what they actually typed to make the command work.
Thanks for this!

The only thing you really need to know is that the code always uses brackets but in case you're curious Grapevine NOW! Forum ? View topic - What is BB Code and how do I use it in my posts? The site software converts most things you'd need code for and blocks some things.
