The pop-up box for new mail is slow and I'd like to turn it off if possible, since I check to see if I have mail by looking for the flashing icon beside the 'inbox' link.
Can you tell me how? I'd would appreciate it very much! ECHOES |

I think one way is to block pop ups for this site... well, for the forum addy, but make sure the chat addy is allowed or you won't get to chat...

Echoes, see if "My Profile", "Edit Subscriptions", first choice will do it for you?

Sorry! I saw PM and thought it was all the various ways but I see, like you say, it's just e-mail. I could find no way to turn off the window other than close it once it opens, looks like a "package" deal with the blinking icon.

You know, I did the same thing, Perna...looked for a way to turn it off...
I thought we used to be able to to? I might be wrong... I do know that the window doesn't show up for me because I'm blocking pop-ups... Love, KD

We've never had an option to turn it off or on. It's one of those "features" of the site! lol
I don't think Sky's suggestion will work, since the chat system also loads from the same domain: forums.psychcentral.com It might though, doesn't hurt to try! I'll add it to the to-do list to give people the option in the future. Thanks for letting us know......
