In some of googley's posts I can only see a box with a question mark in it, not the picture that he posts and that others can see, apparently.

Why would that be?

That would suggest it is an issue on your end, possibly an anti-virus or malware program that's identified the domain that the image is hosted on as possibly hosting bad stuff. FWIW, Google hasn't identified that particular site as malware (atm) and I can see the graphic fine in Chrome.

Image hosting has become particular. Sometimes what LOOKS like an image file is not, it is just a redirection to an image file. Hosts like Photobucket started that crap but other hosts to and also a bunch of webpages.

The majority of browsers are now built to actually read the redirect as the image. Then you see the image as normal. If you use a browser that only see true images as images, you will see "nothing".

For those occasions it can be nice to have a second browser to use to see things you cannot with your favorite browser.
Thanks for this!

My normal browser is Safari for the Mac. I tried Chrome and it saw the picture.
