Okay so, this guy messages me in private, asks about what BPD is, says he can cure me. I'm like "fine". And he's like "listen to this link with headphones on and eyes closed" so I click on that link and realize it's a reading of the Quran. Basically he was trying to convert me. Is this allowed? I'm legit spooked right now. Someone help please.

Sorry you had this experience in chat.

First, I'd be highly suspect of anyone who makes an outrageous claim that they can "cure" other people, knowing so little about them. That's the first red flag you're about to be offered something that may not be legit.

Second, no, we do not allow people to offer other members free "cures" that turn out to be nothing more than an attempt to convert them to a specific religion. Please drop us a PM with the details, and we'll be more than happy to look into this matter further.

Third, you can always use the self-care tools provided when dealing with members you'd rather not get contacted by (such as placing that member on Ignore).

Thanks, Doc. I PMed you the details. I really hope there was a report feature on chat though, and maybe a Block feature as well, to avoid all that nasty stuff.

There is already a block feature in chat and we encourage our members to use it.

Except I was on mobile chat so I just exited chat after they kept giving me the link
