Just a quick question please.

If a PC member doesn't show up in the list in the drop down menu when I search for them using their exact name, does this mean that their account has been deleted and they are now anonymous members?

Or, are members able to "hide" themselves from being searched in profile settings so that they can't be found manually?

I ask as there have been some threads around regarding "Where is xyz?" and when I search for them, they're not found. Now I think they're gone

Incidentally, I have noticed that those with the status of Account Suspended don't appear in the search list my side.

Im guessing if you cant find them in the list by name they either asked their account be deleted or they have changed their name.

no going invisible doesnt remove their name from the list. I keep my account on invisible and I am still on the list.

since the rules of the site are no discussing past or present members on the boards and no posting leaving posts and the process of deleting accounts is an administrative issue I'm ....guessing.... in order to find out why you cant find someone on the list you would need to contact a moderator who can help.

a tip that helps me... look in your pm box. if you have kept a pm by someone if their name has changed their new name will be attached to past pms that they have sent you. also some members pm each other when they are leaving or changing their names. maybe check to see if they have sent you a pm letting you know about their name change or decision to leave. you can also look on your friends list if someone is listed on your friends list and they change their name it will show up there too.
Thanks for this!

Thank you. I interpret the short answer to be, if I can't find them, they're not here.

also wanted to add that its my understanding that sometimes the word anonymous and a number doesnt always mean a person has changed their name, and all that other stuff. I think somewhere around here is a post\ thread about this user name anonymous and numbers can also mean a person registered by using the user name anonymous with a number, they couldnt think of a user name so they register with that instead.

I often wondered what it means if an account's suspended

are they banned, or did they request like a vacation mode.

if I remember right in a post somewhere around here it was explained that account suspended can mean either one of those situations.
