I am using a Windows 10 laptop with the built in Microsoft Edge browser and when I tried to log on and browse the forums, I got a super sluggish forum page which looks like this.

Trouble viewing forums on my laptop.

I don't know if this exists with other browsers and I am unwilling to change browsers just so I can view these forums properly.

Any ideas on how to fix this or what went wrong?

Hello Artchic: I'm afraid I don't know the answer to your problem. I just thought I'd mention that I use a laptop which I upgraded to Windows 10 & I don't have any difficulty browsing the forums. It seems like, from what I've read, when these sorts of things happen it's often because there's some sort of "driver" missing & downloading that particular driver ends up being the recommendation.

Unfortunately, that's pretty-much all I know about it. Although I have not had any problems with Windows 10 related specifically to PC, when I first upgraded, I had all sorts of problems in general with my laptop. Good luck figuring this out. Hopefully some other members here on PC, who are more computer savvy than I, will reply to your post. I'll be interested to read their replies.

I am really baffled by this. My laptop just updated itself so I don't think it's a driver issue. I do think it's an issue with how my browser interacts with the forums as I have no problems with other sites at all.

For the time being, I am religated to using my phone to be able to browse the forums.

My advice is to just stop using edge altogether and get google chrome. Faster load, minimalist design, and less security holes.

I tried Chrome, actually. It's the same thing there too. I really think it's on the forum's end.

Sorry to hear you're having a problem accessing the forums properly.

We have hundreds of users successfully using Microsoft Edge to browse the forums, so unfortunately I can assure you there's nothing wrong with the forums.

You may want to try clearing your cache in order to force a refresh of the page, because it looks like your browser is not loading the CSS stylesheet correctly. Here's some information that can help you clear your browser cache in Edge:

How do I refresh the cache in Edge? - Microsoft Community

Also, if it's happening with more than just Edge, that suggests a problem with your router or computer's firewall software or anti-virus software in accessing all the of the resources necessary to load our pages correctly. It may be that something is in some strange "very secure" setting that it's refusing to load all the stuff that's needed. Unfortunately, if that's the case, it's more complicated than we can likely help you out with here, because there are so many different places this problem could reside in (malware detection program, virus software, firewall, or the router). I would look to see what settings changed in your latest update and undo those settings one by one until you find the thing that's causing the issue.

I cleared the cache, but I'll look into that link all the same.

That's strange, it's loading fine today. Must have been a glitch somewhere for a while.
