I find it concerning and disturbing that some threads that you've posted have been moderated in a way that's causing you distress. Most certainly, I'd recommend contacting an administrator about this. I understand that it's to be expected that if we violate the guidelines here on the Psych Central forums, action will be taken. At the same time, this is a forum for mental health support, and if you feel like the action that seems to have been taken against you for having apparently violated this site's guidelines was inappropriate and/or has hurt you, I think that letting an administrator know about this would be a good idea. Giving those who run this site feedback on how they might be able to moderate these forums in a way that's sensitive to the mental health needs of those who participate here might at least help the administrators and moderators here to respond to violations of their guidelines in a way that some of us might find to be less hurtful in the future.

I know that it can be very frustrating when the things that we say don't seem to get heard for one reason or another, but I wanted to let you know that I value your contributions to the forums here on Psych Central, and I somehow think that I'm not the only member here who feels this way. The messages that you write here do matter to me and to others who read them, and I know that I'd like to continue to see you participate here.

I already posted about this concern in the feedback section. It's very rude for threads to be removed without the admin or mod telling the person who started it why they were removed in the first place. Poor moderation on their part.

Wait what post are we talking about disappearing?

Maybe it's just in another forum that's all.

Is it the one about being ignored on PC?

I read that yesterday and thought it was good (up to the point I'd finished reading the replies at)

It all just seems like general chat to me. There is nothing political about this post (that rule was unpopular but explained), I don't get it but you have my support! Are they making you feel like this:

You have found a new alter ego--aka trouble maker!

sophiesmom, it's my fault that I did not pm you immediately after moving your thread for being against our Community Guidelines. I am human and I do make mistakes for which I will take responsibility for. I'm sorry for the confusion and not pm'ing you immediately after the action was taken.

Please know that you are always welcome to pm a mod/admin to ask what's going on with something if you haven't heard from us yet.
Thanks for this!

And I'll just add that we do indeed try and do our best with timely notifications when threads are removed.

But please remember, the entire moderation team is composed of human beings just like yourself, and we do make mistakes. While it doesn't excuse these lapses, it does help explain them -- that it is not done because of malice or that we don't care. We do, it's just that sometimes we all make mistakes.

attentionThis is an old thread. You probably should not post your reply to it, as the original poster is unlikely to see it.
