Okay, hold it! Yes, it will "always" be 9 o'clock when DocJohn has his chat but his 9 o'clock next week WAS 10 o'clock this week.

It is 9:23 in Boston now.

It is 6:23 in Tucson, according to the world clock http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/full.html

Tomorrow, if DocJohn were to wait until "now" to turn back his clock, it would be 10:23 when he turned it back to 9:23. So, he's not going to get any "closer" to you. If he were to decide at 9:23 tomorrow to change his clock, he would change it to read 8:23 and he'd have to wait 37 more minutes to start a 9:00 chat. So, next week at 10:00 in DocJohn unchanged timezone it will be 9:00 in "new" Boston time and 6:00 in Tucson :-)

That's what I was thinking.

IF Raynaadi's chat is an hour AFTER DocJohn's, (his at 9pm her's at 10pm) AND his moves back an hour, then his is at 8 pm to her time, not 10 pm right? If he moves an hour back, earlier, how can it be on her chat if her chat is already an hour after his????

But I'm still working on why AZ time isn't 3 hours off of MA time!

It is 3 hours off now but won't be when we go to "regular" time; our East Coast time to central (Kansas :-) time is 1 hour, then Central to Mountain is 2. Only West Coast/California gets to be 3 hours.

Hahahaha I'm still baffled.

His chat right now is at 6pm Tucson time. My chat is at 7pm Tucson time. So when the one our time change happens, his chat will be at 5pm my time or 7pm my time, depending on if ya'll go an hour later or earlier. Back and forward doesn't make sense to me, so earlier or later is the only way I can make sense of it.

I'll have to check Boston time once the time change has happened to know for sure. Why this is so confusing to me, I'll never know.

Okay, Sky, now you really have me scared because we are 3 hours off and we remain 3 hours off; it's 9:52 now on the East Coast (which sometimes includes Boston) and 6:52 in AZ. Tomorrow, it will still be 9:52 and 6:52 because today's 10:52 will become tomorrow's 9:52 and Ranaaldi stands still and we all fall down?

My husband (let's get an engineer in here to really foul things up) says we were 4 hours different and when we change we'll be 3 hours different.

Boston's 10:00 daylight savings is Phoenix's 6 o'clock and Boston's 9:00 Eastern standard is Phoenix's 6 o'clock.

Boston's 11:00 daylight savings is Phoenix's 7 o'clock and
Boston's 10:00 Eastern standard is Phoenix's 7 o'clock

Boston's 9:00 daylight savings is Phoenix's 5 o'clock and

Yes, BUT AZ doesn't do daylight savings time. They are right now 3 hour's difference.

I have to say this thread became quite humorous!!!!!

Now that the time change has happened I went and checked DocJohn's time. (Its no longer Boston time. We agreed before that DocJohn has his own time zone hahahah) And he is now 2 hours ahead of me. So my chat moves to 8pm Tucson time and there's no railroad crash. And it shouldn't change for anyone else because everyone else changes.

Sometimes I wish we changed along with everyone else!!!!!
