Also I should probably take down my posts with his profile links before I get in trouble lol.
He's easy to find though. Just search his name on whatever social site.
Thanks for this!

Hey, I said my piece, and I'm done. I know I can't control someone else's actions, but I can certainly speak up for myself when someone does something that violates my privacy or otherwise.

As far as I'm concerned, at this point, he can go crawl back into his most probably very under-visited corner of the internet.

I hope that he doesn't get his membership reinstated though. Don't think that would be good at all. He's abusing his membership by doing that.

I said my piece on the other thread. He responded to me with the same generic message he gave everyone with his "apology" to make himself seem like the good guy. I don't know why, but it just infuriated me that he copy and pasted the same "supposed heartfelt" apology to everyone, which only shows how full of crap he really is.

Anyway, I responded to that generic email and said my piece. It may not even matter, or he may just laugh and move on, but I said what I had to say and felt better for it.

Agreed. Being on social media does not make content public domain. He is an idiot for not understanding intellectual property rights.

I spent just a few minutes researching this today and you are absolutely right. On public message boards, copyright law states that the user (member) owns the content. Therefore, he did not have the right to take that content and republish it under his own guises. He also still has not changed it enough for it to not be copyright infringement. He's not a good enough writer to understand how to do this. As a professional writer, I could easily take anyone's post here and turn it into an article without you ever knowing it was inspired by your post. But then again, I know how to research a topic and cite sources and ask permission to use content. I also know how to work with a source to develop a quote from them that they would feel safe in using.

This guy clearly has limited English writing skills and a very low grasp of English grammar. I wouldn't usually criticize this except that he's trying to run an English-based blog site.

Again, I doubt he has any traction, so I wouldn't worry about it.

I have seen people who post questions on here and appear to be needing mental health advice, yet have their own blog giving mental health advice.

It drives me nuts. This happens all over the web, especially on FB. I have had a lot of people take my thoughts and reiterate them as their own.

It is plagiarism and insecurity.

He doesn't seem to understand the difference between doing something unethical and illegal and just making a mistake.

Yes but there are plenty of people in the world with my exact name - similar linked accounts / facebook etc.

How do you know it's really him and not someone, co-incidentally, with the same name?

It is the information right on the website where the offending blog is located. Not another source used

He has two books! I wonder if anything in them might look like material from a forum posting on here.

You can leave bad amazon reviews. I hear giving one starts hurts their standing in the rankings. There is sn incentive for keeping five stars.

This may seem vindictive but many pc people are vulnerable or in a vulnerable place and he is so low to take advantage. Doing what makes me feel like I didn’t just ignore bad behavior.
