I was away for a while...personal reasons and when I came back on line...I can't access the chatline. Everything seems slower and harder to get to. What's up???

(By the way...conversation in BOLD, capital, or colored letters really confuses me... nope just yanking your chain. What does bother me is people who go on and on filling a half of a page with their opinion. I have been skimming over that. It makes my eyes cross and my palms sweaty. Reminds me of when I lived at home...

Anyway, in an attempt not to be to wordy I will sign off. And further more (everyone gets one Further more and one nevertheless) and I just used my "further more". Did you know, that the color green is the color of balance, it requires no adjustment to the cones and rods in the human eye. Perhaps we could do away with all the colors and just type in "bold green".

MOJO...are you using Vista OS along with firefox? If so, here is a place to check out what the problem might be - I haven't had a chance yet, but it looks good.

Hi, Keb, hi Sabau...Maybe i am in the right place.
I figured out 3pg...pg=page...see I can learn.
So I am slightly nuerotic, obviously a bit slow, and slanting towards a tendency to wordiness...well...I quit beating myself up alooooonnnng time ago...my arm was getting sore, besides there always seemed to be a lot of other people willing to do it for me.
What the heck is a VISTA OS ??? Do I know?? Should I??? Is it a sin to capitalize Vista...probably the 11th sin. Hey, how many sins are there. I'm not a "C word" so I don't know.

Wordy, is that when you answer a yes/no question with 3 paragraphs?

Maybe your browser has been updated and your system is running slower because it is an old system and its resources are being pressed?

Sometimes I lose settings with updates so I can't access things I could access before.

Alternatively... Have you tried updating Java?

The sin of "why can't I get into chat"question...must be sin #12. I really did committ that one. See I just got back, one small question and complete and utter turmoil. (I started a test site, it was removed and I was repremanded") Like I said "I just got here". (Shovel, shovel) I always feel so ashamed and completely isolated from my community of peers when this happens. It makes me want to rebel and type in capITAL letters...I think that I should seek out some professional help. I made an appointment with my PDoc. I am my town's poster child for bi-polarism...I beat out the competition so to speak. My PDoc would probably not be surprised to find that some people claim that I am a rabble rouser.
I have to keep this short...under 3 pg, so I should go...It was excellant talking with you again. Remember, laughter is the shortest distance between two people...pass it on.

A browser is the program that you use to access the internet. It might be Internet Explorer, or it might be Safari, or it might be Firefox, or it might be something else. Internet Explorer is standard with PC's (though you might have downloaded something else) and Safari is standard with Mac's.

The default setting (unless you have changed it) is typically that your browser typically accesses the internet all by itself to check for updates. Sometimes your browser will ask you if you would like to update it if online updates are available. Othertimes your browser will automatically download updates without telling you (all depends on your settings).

If your computer is very old then sometimes updates can make your computer run slower (because updates take up space on your computer). Sometimes updates can alter your browser settings, too. So it might be that your browser has updated and that is why your computer is running slow. It might be that your browser is blocking your accessing chat, too.

You might benefit from running a defragment on your computer...

I don't know if you are still having issues with chat....

but....

I updated my computer to IE7. Turns out it has a compatibility issue with Java 6?
I uninstalled IE7 and rarely get booted from chat any more. (Sure hope that was the problem.)

Also (did I say this somewhere?) you need to allow pop ups for the chat. If you have more than one task bar, there might be a pop up blocker still on (on ONE of them ) I run with 3 task bars and the ISP task bar adds another!
