There is persistent hostility towards members on the psychotherapy forum.
I understand people here may have emotional issues, but I wonder if someone needs to intervene or do something. Thanks. |

I agree hence my posting very little -hostility towards certain posters jumps out at me-there seems to be a “hierarchy”who even when off topic or slightly controversial are treated with respect and others are not
Not sure how it can be resolved |

I post there often and have witnessed this. No one seems hostile towards me for some reason, don't know why. Then again I haven't stared a thread in a while. Not sure where I fall in the hierarchy over there but I certainly try to include everyone.

No one has been disrespectful to me. Just a general observation. People seem to get ganged up on there at times. Thought moderators may want to know.

Thank you for the general report. We do monitor busy forums like psychotherapy regularly.
If you have concerns about a specific thread, it's best to report that thread using the reporting functionality of the forum. That brings that specific thread to the community support team's attention for review and possible action. Thanks again. __________________ Don't throw away your shot. |

I don't see this often but I've noticed some hostility from time to time. Not towards myself I feel safe here, but I noticed concerning others. In such cases we can use the triangle with an exclamation mark to report. However many times the messages are not openly aggressive, there's no name calling or threats, so most of the time is very subjective, how things are perceived. It's a matter of individual sensitivity. So if we find something rude, it may or may not be against the rules. I personally find one recent thread in the psychotherapy forum started yesterday judgemental. It seems to me that a few members are secretly judging the OP there although no rules have been violated. So it's difficult to be objective on a forum like this. However I must say that in the majority of threads there's no problem and this is certainly the best and most safe forum I've ever visited. __________________ Complex trauma Highly sensitive person I love nature, simplicity and minimalism |

I have also noticed this. I do agree with the poster above though, that the majority of threads are supportive (for want of a better word). Thank you for addressing this issue here. I also try to remind myself that most posting there (and in the whole of pc) do have issues. Thanks to you and to the mods and admins, and to the vast majority of members here, for being respectful and supportive. Also, some “conflicts” do get worked out in life.. (obviously)... although some continue

I agree with you. However, for the most part, I think the admins and mods are doing a great job in creating a safe environment in most of the forums So thank you all.
