Have you retried it, made sure it wasn't the server? I think if there are a zillion people in there and others trying to enter, maybe a couple people at the same time, it could get overloaded.

That and/or your own internet provider might be "slow" so you're timing out the chat server trying to get in. Software will only try things for X amount of time before it gives an error message; if "you" are too slow it could time out somewhere.

I think it's just a default error message that gives the most usual reasons for not being able to get in at any given time. Mayb not have anything to do with the actual problem.

Chat depends on the computer you're connecting from being able to connect to the chat server on port 8080. If you have Windows firewall installed, or if you're trying to connect behind some other type of firewall (like at work), then this could be the problem.... and usually is the number one issue. Things like popular Internet virus software suites also sometimes work to block unused Internet ports....

So there's a lot of possible explanations. The more information you can provide the support forum about the type of computer, operating system, web browser, etc. that you're connecting from, the more likely we can help you troubleshoot the problem....
